EARL H. PASSWATERS AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP

Before discovering and embracing the AgVenture business model, AgVenture Regional Seed Company owner Earl H. Passwaters farmed his own acres while working for 26 years as a sales rep for Pioneer.

Finding His Passion
After his retirement, Earl found AgVenture, ending his retirement before it had barely begun. The Regional Seed Company way of life proved incredibly rewarding, allowing Earl to see something had been missing from his work at Pioneer; the ability to connect with clients on a deeper level and form lasting relationships built on trust.
Earl took great pride in working with the sons and daughters of his clients as they were coming back to the family farm after college and relating to these new farmers through the quickly advancing world of agriculture technology.
Earl passed away in 2011, but his belief in the value of education, and its role in staying on top of technology in agriculture, lives on through the Earl H. Passwaters Scholarship.

About the Scholarship
The $1,000 annual scholarship, founded on the continuation of Earl’s philosophy of “paying it forward,” is designated for ag students who plan to return to the farm once they complete their college education.

Supporting the Next Generation
The ag industry is constantly changing; new farmers are coming back to farming operations that are drastically different from those in past years. This new generation of farmers will lead the way in continuing the push to realize higher yields through superior understanding and a tighter grasp on emerging technology.
Through the AgVenture University program, and by supporting education supplements such as the Earl H. Passwaters Scholarship, AgVenture is proud to support the growth of education in the ag industry.
