AgVenture Yield Specialist

As a full-time employee with an AgVenture Regional Seed Company, your duty is to proactively build long-term, profitable relationships and sell to targeted customers within your AgVenture Regional Seed Company's assigned territory.

Key Job Responsibilities and Objectives
  • Know and understand AgVenture’s Maximum Profit System™ (MPS) while focusing on identifying and satisfying customer needs and overall profitability.
  • Understand and implement marketing plan initiatives while driving key products and services in key target markets. 
  • Develop new and profitable grower accounts to drive business growth. 
  • Lead the sales effort for AgVenture products.
  • Perform direct selling activities; provide agronomy services to local growers, and implement the MPS market strategy.
  • Implement necessary skills to achieve sale performance objectives.
  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness and competitive activity.
Areas of Knowledge
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in Agronomy, Business or Marketing preferred. Will consider other degrees or related field sales experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Selling methodologies and techniques.
    • Agronomy and crop production practices.
    • Marketing tools and techniques.
    • Competitive product/service offerings.
    • Local agricultural markets.
    • Value chain and crop production practices.
    • Environmental, regulatory, and stewardship requirements for the various technology products.
    • Company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills in:
    • Selling, negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution, handling objections and coaching.
    • Using computer hardware software/intranet to generate reports, territory plans, inventory and data. 
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Licensed and insurable to drive.
